Penalties ·         All work must be submitted on Blackboard by the due date and time along with a completed Assessment Cover Page. Late penalties apply.·         Reference sources must be cited in the text of the report, and listed appropriately at the end in a reference list using Holmes Institute Adapted Harvard Referencing. Penalties are associated with incorrect citation and referencing.
This assignment aims at ensuring that students can apply at least two models to two different case studies, i.e. able to apply elements of the strategic management process using relevant strategy development models.Students are required to explain in report format, with reference to two case studies, how any two strategy models are applied, choosing from those listed below:

Choose any TWO of these models (i.e. one relevant to each case):P.R.O.F.I.T in combination with VRIO




Balanced scorecard and Performance Ladder in combination

And Choose TWO of these cases (i.e. one corresponding to each model): 

Choose either P&G or Patagonia

Choose either Disney Corporate or LVMH

Choose either VW or Unilever

NB: Use a different case for each model. Be sure to base your answer on the models studied in class. This is strictly required to be your own original work. Each of your two models should be well-explained based on the lecture material, as taught by Holmes Institute, and should then be applied to one of the cases listed. You may introduce additional case material, if needed, to expand on what is provided in the HI6006 Blackboard site, as long as the additional case facts are directly relevant to the strategy model you are explaining, and correctly referenced.

Word Limit: 3000 words (or within 10% of it).

Front Cover Page: Official Holmes Institute Cover Sheet for Group Assignment, fully completed and accurate in all respects.

Title Page, clearly stating which TWO models you selected and each of their corresponding CASES (which you are using to demonstrate that you know how to apply the model).

Section 1c. Identification of strategic issues in the chosen case that are relevant to the application of the model.

Section 2d. Application of model 2 to the chosen case.

Your final submission is due Friday of week 10 before midnight.

  3. No title page -10%
  4. Inaccuracies in referencing OR incomplete referencing OR not in Holmes-adapted-Harvard style -10%
