Formal Project Proposal of up to 3000 words uploaded as a Turnitin Tutoring in the LMS.
Introduction
This Tutoring is the main assessment of PHE5PMH and will be the foundation of the project implemented in PHE5 ALA and ALB (Action Learning Study). It outlines as best can be anticipated the importance of your project, for whom, and how your project will be conducted.
In project management, permission to conduct a project, especially if it is dependent upon funding, is always dependent on a sponsoring organisation approving a project proposal. It may therefore be helpful to think of this Tutoring as being a “petition” for support of your project from your sponsor. The proposal needs to contain sufficient information to convince the sponsoring organisation, and in this case the academic staff, but also be as concise as possible.
The project proposal must include a summary of the relevant current knowledge associated with your project (referring to the literature review in your appendix, including a review of relevant peer reviewed information.) It is an important step in any project proposal, because it provides evidence to support the need for the project. The use of tables and diagrams is encouraged where it will aid clarity.
The process of completing a project proposal ensures that there is a clear understanding of the steps, processes, resources and timelines needed to complete the project. The components and relevance of the sections of the proposal will be covered in detail in the content of week 5, and revisited in learning set/tutorial.
The project proposal will be assessed on the extent to which it provides a clear, achievable basis for a project. It is important that you include all of the sections indicated in the marking criteria in your proposal.
