LSSU391 Principles of Corporation Law

Principles of Corporation is a course that is available for non-law students only and aims to introduce them to legal principles for commercial associations with a particular focus on corporations. students will study the following topics: sole traders, partnerships and the law of agency, trust and joint ventures as well as superannuation entities, the function and structure of companies, corporate governance, member’s rights and corporate liability. In addition to this, students will study corporate finance, takeovers and schemes of arrangement, financial records, financial reporting and audit requirements and companies in distress. This will in turn help students gain an understanding of corporation law’s nature and scope.
