Assessment : Details and instructions

Purpose 

This assessment aims to target your prior knowledge (including the first three-four weeks in this subject) to evaluate your understanding of the role of project management in critical sectors.

Please follow the steps below carefully to understand how to address the issues and challenges posed in this assessment task.

Instructions

Step 1. Select one of the following sectors (You must select only one sector.)

• Healthcare
• Energy/Sustainability
• Food Industry
• Information Technology

Step 2. Address the following four (4) questions based on your selected sector.

1. What is project management and who is a project manager? (approx. 250 words)
2. How does project management contribute to your selected sector? (approx. 250 words)
3. Describe the most recent trends in project management in your selected sector? (only two (2) trends,  approx. 250 words)
4. How do you think project teams must prepare themselves to encounter such trends? (approx. 250 words)

Resources and readings relevant to the assessment

To address each question, you must use two different peer-reviewed references. We expect you to have a total number of eight (8) different references.  The referencing style is APA.
