SOP for Abdur Rahman

Having derived my roots around business I found myself appreciating the multiple facets of the management from an early age. Little did I know that over time it would prove to be the seed that blossoms into a career pathway. My research into career prospects revealed the compulsion of a strong association between the success of business and management. Such connection is essential not only for businesses but even large organizations to gain the competitive edge over others. 

I have recently completed my Bachelor of Business in Accounting from LaTrobe University, I now embark upon to the next challenge of my academic route to pursue Master of Management from Melbourne University, following a similar notion as to Abraham Lincoln’s quote below 

‘Give me 6 hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe’’. 

During pursuit of my bachelor’s degree, I gained passion towards business management, the basics of management specifically. I realised that how important management is for the success of any business, either small or large. I have been part of my family business back in Saudi Arabia, that offers various media and photography services. My aim is to help my family, in their business and to be able to expand the business across different cities of Saudi Arabia its really very important for me to have Master of Management, with majors in HR and project management. 

The experience I gain through my undergraduate degree in Accounting from LaTrobe University has equipped me with various essential transferrable skills like interpersonal dealings, public-speaking, accounting and financial evaluation. These are the skills along with the overall positive work ethic which I would like carry forward with me on my journey ahead and also equip myself academically to the highest level possible.
