Overview:
Choose Two of the concepts listed which relate to inclusive education. One concept to be selected from each of List A and List B. Explain in detail the theoretical basis of the concept and its value as it relates to quality inclusive education. Your work must be supported by citing your Two set text and a minimum of two additional, scholarly and peer reviewed journal articles for each entry. Only Govt websites; UNIESCO can be used. (1500 words)
Details:
This assessment gives you an opportunity to demonstrate your understanding the origins, theoretical rationale, and implications for practice of Inclusive Education. Choose TWO of the concepts, one from List A and another from List B.
For each concept in a maximum of 750 words each:
Explain in detail the theoretical basis or rationale of the concept and
What the concept means in practice in relation to quality inclusive education
Note. To support you with your section on 2. Practice with an example, Case study 1-5 has been uploaded in Assessment folder 1. Choose only 1 of the 5 given to demonstrate how you would support this child in your class. Choose the case that relates to your specialisation of either Early Childhood or Primary (Cases 1-3) or Secondary (Case 4 or 5). You may also choose any case from your essential textbook if you wish to.
Marking Criteria:
For EACH concept the following are demonstrated:
Clear and detailed understanding of the concept and its background, rationale, or theoretical basis
Clear and detailed description and example of how the concept has been, is or could be applied in practice in educational settings in the Australian context.
Concise and coherent academic writing including appropriate referencing of the 2 set texts and a minimum of two additional, scholarly and peer reviewed research articles (one for each of the concepts), Australian Government Websites and UNESCO. Create a reference list for each concept.
